This afternoon at approximately 1:40 p.m., the Skagit County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible death investigation in the area of Francis Road near Erika Lane. Deputies responded to the scene and contacted Mount Vernon Police Department investigators after determining the decedent may have matched the female described in a recent Missing Person Bulletin.
